Description: Lifted from mount by slitting guards with a scalpel. Guard debris and adhesive removed from edges of verso dry by scraping with a scalpel. Slight moisture applied using damp cotton wool buds in some areas to remove older debris and adhesive. Skinned/weak areas and tiny losses repaired/infilled using Japanese paper and wheat starch paste. Infills retouched on recto using Winsor and Newton artist's watercolours (organic,inorganic pigments,gum arabic). Extreme edges lightly moistened on verso with damp cotton wool to flatten. Pressed. Object strip inlaid into Western paper using strips of Japanese paper adhered with Culminal - non-ionic cellulose ether. Mounted into a Royal overthrow of 6ply Heritage 100% Cotton Museum Board with a backboard of 4ply Heritage 100% Cotton Museum Board and hinged in using archival framing tape adhered with water.
