Treatment; 04 Sep 2010; As the front of the vase had been tidied up for a previous loan it was decided the rest of the restoration would be tidied up for along term loan. Remove overpaint and re-fill amd paint where required.; Ceramics & Glass

Reason: Loan
Description: Removed overpaint with Acetone (propan-1-one/dimethyl ketone) and Industrial methylated spirits (ethanol,methanol)IMS from the back of the vase. Sanded some areas of fill with glass paper and micromesh cloth and refilled small areas where required. Sanded to prepare for painting. Painted with golden acrylics and water mixed into Poecelain Restoration glaze, applied with a sable brush, building up layers as required.
