Description
Stabilized by consolidative electrolytic reduction in a 5% aqueous solution of sodium carbonate electrolyte using stainless steel anodes, for around 20 hours. After treatment, the white corrosion products are coloured by a thin deposit of yellow. There is some soil and sand grain on surface. The grey surface seems more porous as the white corrosion products have been reduced. On the opposite side, the white corrosion products seem not very different from before the CER except a tiny and superficial cracking (possible result of the treatment). Wax remains present on the surface in different thicknesses : thick translucent, darken when associated with soil, or flaking due to flakes loosing of adhesion on their edges.
