Description
Surface of the glass was consolidated with 3 - 20% Paraloid B72 (ethyl methacrylate copolymer) in acetone applied with a brush and micropippette. Sheets of 10 - 20% Paraloid B72 (ethyl methacrylate copolymer) were also inserted in areas which had large gaps between the delaminated layers. Larger gaps, particularly on the inside rim and overlapping sections on the external surface were packed with a paste of Microballoons (silica or phenolic resin) in a low concentration (10%) Paraloid B72 (ethyl methacrylate copolymer) in acetone. Pared with brush and acetone. Where possible the surface of the glass was cleaned by rolling cotton wool swabs over the surface moistened with 70/30 Industrial methylated spirits (ethanol, methanol) and distilled water.
