Examination
Description
Surface cleaned initially with swabs of 15% Formic acid solution, followed by 5% Diethylenetriaminepenta acetic acid pentasodium salt with a little added Triton x100 (iso-octylphenoxypolyethoxyethanol). The surface was then rinsed with swabs of distilled water and dried with paper tissues. The base was refitted to the statuette using Araldite 24 hour Epoxy resin adhesive. This was cured by placing the piece in an oven at 80oC for 1 hour.
