Reason: Permanent Exhibition
Description: The armband was cleaned using a soft brush and low-suction vacuum. This was followed with Chemsponge/smoke sponge (vulcanized rubber molecular trap, containing a minuscule percentage of mild soap i.e. <30grm per 500kg). The beads were then cleaned using Industrial methylated spirits (ethanol,methanol) on a cotton swab. The loose fibres were secure using a colour matched polyester thread and sewing through holes already present in the weave.
