Description
The object was dry cleaned using Wishab sponge (vulcanized latex,filler). Removed dirt and sponge residues with a soft brush and vacuum cleaner. Plaster fills were shaped mechanically with scalpel blade. Fills were retouched with Cryla colours (acrylic) The base on the bottom was sealed with 2.5% HMG Paraloid B72 (methyl ethyl methacrlylate) and acid -free card was adhered. The area betwenn the card and the base was filled with 20% HMG Paraloid B72 (methyl ethyl methacrlylate) mixed with Microballoons (silica or phenolic resin) 50/50 in Acetone (propan-1-one/dimethyl ketone) / Industrial methylated spirits (ethanol,methanol) and retouched with Cryla colours (acrylic).
