Treatment; 28 Apr 2006; Examine previous reparis gapfill and paint; Ceramics & Glass

Reason: Temporary Exhibition
Description: Areas of loss were gapfilled using Mudustuc barium sulphate filler applied using a rubber spatula. These areas were smoothed using cotton wool swabs moistened with industrial methylated spirits. This process was repeated several times. These areas of gapfill was painted using a sable brush with Golden acrylic fluid paints. The curator had requested the areas of loss on the figures, to be painted in, to interpret the vessel fully.
