Treatment; 22 Aug 2002; Surface clean consolidate retouch fill; Ceramics & Glass

Reason: Publication/Catalogue; Photography
Description: Surface cleaned with Draft clean (soya fibres, calcium hydroxide, magnesium silicate) and a clean brush, Wishab sponge (vulcanized latex,filler) and vacuum. Over fill and over paint removed from ceramic surface with cotton wool swabs dampened in acetone and tap water. Fine holes in filled area filled with Modostuc,(barium sulphate) filler. Object seen by curator, the foot is not original, therefore due to the large amount of restoration it is not to be included in the publication. Filled area retouched with Golden artist acrylic paints. Returned to store.
