Reason: Storage
Description: The old adhesive joins were taken down with acetone. The surfaces of all the fragments were cleaned by swabbing with a mixture of 1:3 parts distilled water and IMS, to remove the dirty coating. The fragments were then rejoined with HMG heatproof and waterproof adhesive (cellulose nitrate). No fills were required to support the repaired fragment. The fragment was packed in a box with a tailored inset made from Plastazote (polyethylene).
