Reason: Permanent Exhibition
Description: Surface cleaned with low suction from vacuum tweezer unit and a soft brush. Resecured loose bindings with strips of hand torn Kozo paper and a mixture of arrowroot starch and sodium alginate paste, applied with a fine brush. The paper repairs were coloured with Rowney Cryla acrylic paints applied with a brush.Torn skin was backed with strips of previously coloured paper and same adhesive, as above. Surface was further cleaned by gently rubbing Groomstick (modified natural rubber) over surface after discussion with AK.
