Treatment; 10 Apr 1996; Clean. Straighten creased areas. Re-inforce. Req 61805; Metals

Reason: Temporary Exhibition
Description: Req 61805 Apr 1996 Cleaned in Detarol (n-hydroxylethyl ethylenediaminetriacetic acid,trisodium salt), 10% in distilled water. Brushed with Hotel silver dip (acidified thiourea). Washed in running tap water. Swabs of 30% formic acid used to remove some of the calcareous deposits. Torn creases backed with HMG heatproof and waterproof adhesive (cellulose nitrate) and fibre glass tissue.
