Treatment; 29 Oct 1992; Remove mount, clean, check cracking, retone in-painting..; Organics

Reason: Permanent Exhibition
Description: Cleaned with IMS on cotton wool swabs, surface coating revealed which was removed. Surface improved. Filler repainted with earth pigments bound with 5% w/v Mowital B30H polyvinyl butyral resin in IMS. Perspex base removed, but following removal departmental representative Collon, D requested mount to be more sympathetically replaced. Perspex mount repolished and dowelled to base of filled area with 3mm perspex acrylic rod and secured with 40% w/v Mowilith 50 Polyvinyl acetate adhesive in IMS.
