Reason: Loan; Temporary Exhibition
Description: Cleaned overall using cotton wool swabs moistened with distilled water + Synperonic N (non ionic detergent,nonylphenol ethylene oxide condensate). The paper backing was peeled away from the area of the crack to facilitate cleaning. The paper was refixed using the original adhesive and the area of the crack was reinforced by sticking a strip of Japanese paper along the line of the crack using HMG heatproof and waterproof adhesive (cellulose nitrate)
