Reason: Temporary Exhibition
Description: Textile vacuumed to remove surface dust. Ingrained dirt disturbed mechanically then cleaned with Groomstick (modified natural rubber) gently rolled over the contaminated surface. Accretion removed mechanically as far as possible then a cotton wool swab barely moistened with distilled water was rolled over it. This swelled the residue (?starch) which was removed by dabbing with a paper tissue. The bag was steamed to remove the creasing.
