Reason: Permanent Exhibition
Description: The urn and it's lid were dry cleaned with Groomstick (modified natural rubber) rolled over surface on a cocktail stick. Friable guilding and glaze were consolidated with a 10% solution of Mowital B30H (polyvinyl butyral) in acetone. Cracks were consolidated with 15% HMG heatproof and waterproof adhesive (cellulose nitrate) in acetone. It was noted that the Mowital B30H (polyvinyl butyral) darkened the glaze slightly.
