Reason: Temporary Exhibition
Description: The jacket was surface cleaned with low powered vacuum suction. The damage under the arm was repaired by inserting a patch support. A cotton lawn fabric patch, dyed to suitable cream colour using Ciba Geigy Solophenyl cellulose dyes, was stitched in place using two strands of monofilament silk thread. Smaller insect holes elsewhere were not treated since they were in a stable condition. No crease removal was carried out since this was not considered necessary.
