Reason: Permanent Exhibition
Description: Surface cleaned with Synpronic in distilled water, applied with cotton. Wiped dish with distilled water to remove detergent. Removed overpaint using acetone (propan-1-one/dimethyl ketone) applied with cotton swabs and a scalpel blade. Gaps filled with coloured fills, created using Fyne bond, fumed silica, and Windsor and Newton fine dry artist’s pigments (comp. variable). Once hardened, fills were smoothed using a scalpel blade and various grade of abrasive paper. Coloured fills were retouched using Winsor and Newton fine dry artist's pigments (comp. variable), and acrylic glaze applied with a sable brush.
