Temporary Exhibition
Description
Pigments secured by consolidating with 2% issinglass in water (w/v) with brush under magnification. Surface cleaned by brushing with soft brush to recto and with smoke sponge to verso. Tears and weak areas supported with Japanese paper and wheatstarch adhesive. Object slot inlaid into Western paper using tabs of Japanese paper adhered with wheatstarch adhesive. Object mounted into a Royal overthrow of 6ply Heritage 100% Cotton Museum Board with a backboard of 4ply Heritage 100% Cotton Museum Board and hinged in using archival gummed cotton paper tape.
