Description
The surface of the object was cleaned with Acetone (propan-1-one/dimethyl ketone), the darker sports of tarnish on the surface and the heavier tarnish around the solder repair were removed with Silvo silver and chrome (cotton wadding, white spirit,Newburgh chalk, china clay) applied with cotton swabs, removed with White Spirit (composition variable - petroleum distillate) and degrease with Acetone. The perforation at the base was investigated and it looks stable so it was left untouched. The red tarnish inside the goblet was also left untouched.
