Reason: Temporary Exhibition
Description: The surface was cleaned using brush and vacuum suction. The more ingrained dust was removed with Chemsponge/smoke sponge (vulcanized rubber molecular trap, containing a minuscule percentage of mild soap i.e. <30grm per 500kg). Two small strips of card board were inserted on either side of the spear tip and the "ferrule" (top end) of the shaft. Filling the gap with card board wedges helped to stop the tip from wobbling. The card wedges were secured in position with two small dots of methylcellulose adhesive. The visible edges of the card board were tinted with acrylic paint.
