Description
The surface dust and dirt was effectively removed with acetone on cotton wool swabs. After consolidation further cleaning will be attempted. Consolidation was carried out with 2%Paraloid B72 in 2 ethox-ethanol. Some areas required a second and third application. The two sides were sealed with a 5% solution of Paraloid B72 in Acetone/IMS and applied by brush. The two fragments were then joined with Sebralit a polyester resin. The join was filled with a mix of 10% Paraloid B72 in acetone/IMS (50:50) with Caen stone dust and microcell glass spheres.
