Description: Mount split to reveal inlayed object. Inlay paper adhered at edges to mount backboard. Inlay paper cut with scalpel to release object from mount backboard. Yellowed and bowed acrylic window in verso of mount backboard attached to mount back board with pressure sensitive tape – now failed. Inlay paper, debris and adhesive removed from the verso edges of the drawing using a poultice of 5% Culminal (non-ionic cellulose ether) and a micro spatula, cleared with filtered tap water dampened cotton wool swabs. Object humidified over Gortex and dampened capillary matting within a chamber for two hour. Object pressed between blotters and boards. Object inlayed into a sheet of inlay paper using Tengujo strips and 5% Culminal (non-ionic cellulose ether) adhesive. Object pressed between blotters and boards. Object mounted into a Royal overthrow of 6ply Heritage 100% Cotton Museum Board with a backboard of 4ply Heritage 100% Cotton Museum Board and hinged in using archival gummed cotton paper tape.
