Description: Lifted from mount by undercutting with a scalpel. Paper debris around edges of verso reduced with a scalpel. (Verso scanned). Remaining debris and discoloured adhesive removed by applying a poultice of Culminal (nonionic cellulose ether), scraping with a small Teflon spatula and swabbing with cotton wool moistened with tap water. Skinned/weak corners supported using Japanese paper and wheat starch paste. Humidified over capillary matting and Gore-Tex in a chamber. Pressed. Object strip inlaid into Western paper using strips of Japanese paper adhered with Culminal - non-ionic cellulose ether. Mounted into a Royal overthrow of 6ply Heritage 100% Cotton Museum Board with a backboard of 4ply Heritage 100% Cotton Museum Board and hinged in using archival gummed cotton paper tape.
