Reason: Loan
Description: The surface was cleaned using IMS on cotton wool swabs. This removed some but not all tarnish. Cleaning was continued using white spirit and Silvo silver and chrome (cotton wadding,white spirit,Newburgh chalk,china clay) on a cotton wool swab. Residues were removed with repeatedly swabbing with white spirit and IMS on cotton wool. Then the object was steam cleaned and dried with IMS on cotton wool swabs.
