Description: The cover of a textile swatch pamphlet for al-Bassousi manufacturers. The cover content pertains to manufacturer information, is printed onto a coloured engraving of a scene which depicts the Nile, a feluka and pyramids on the right in the background and in the foreground, three large cotton seeds, in light and dark green stripes. The whole is coloured in red. The scene is framed by an elaborate design reminiscent of a mihrab or payer niche, with decorated columns on the side and an arch on the top, itself adorned with rhythmic and interlacing patterns. There is an Arabic inscriptions, written in Naskh calligraphy which runs along in arch. The yellow text box on the bottom also contain a Naskh calligraphy inscriptions. Both inscriptions pertain to manufacturing information
