- Description
-
Amulet of the sun on the horizon.
The amulet seems to have been cut rather than moulded, a technique which may explain the awkward shape. The medium is opaque red glass now turning iridescent. The horizon area, here of rectangular shape, has crudely incised horizontal lines. The sun disc has a curious tuft at its top centre strongly reminiscent of a pomegranate.
