Long, bag-shaped sprang woman's hair-net, made mainly of red wool but with stripes down the sides of green, yellow and mauve wool; the patterning of the main area consists of larger and smaller lozenges (achieved by reversing the direction of the linking); brow-band across one side of opening and a separately made sprang ribbon on other side, loops c.2.5 cm long; drawstring missing; warp-green, yellow and mauve wool (S soun Z ply/c.14); two simple selvedges, one end with looms?, the other end with very short loops sewn to brow band; sewing: brown wool side seam threads and yellow wool threads with brow-band (S spun Z ply)
