Object Type
amphora
Museum number
EA68431
Description
Fragment from the neck and upper body of an amphora: in translucent dark-blue glass of same form as 1894,0816.88. On the neck are simple festoons in opaque white, yellow, and light blue. The same colours are found in the elaborately clustered festoons of the body. The root of one handle in the same glass as the body survives on the shoulder. The core, as usual, has been scraped from the neck, but a white core remains on the body.
