Mosaic slice: Two slices of mosaic glass, of irregular shape, mounted on modern colourless glass. On an opaque red field a continuous pattern of leaves connecting at their tips, the general effect being of rosettes. The leaves are in transparent colourless glass outlined in opaque white. The purpose of this colourless glass was probably to reflect a gold background. Probably from the garment of a goddess.
