- Description
-
Mosaic eye amulets: three mosaic glass eyes inlaid into a rectangle of opaque light-blue glass. The eyes are of lozenge shape, each having a black pupil on an opaque white ground. The centre eye has yellow borders with conventionalized lashes in black, and a red dot at each outer corner. The two outer eyes, which may well be from the same cane, are duplicates of the central eye except that they lack the yellow borders. A provincial and peasant-like piece with none of the elegance of the Egyptian wedjat-eye.
