Rectangular sycomore fig wood box with four feet and a vaulted sliding lid; covered with ivory strips decorated with annules(except one which has incised cross-hatched decoration) and attached by small plugs; between the ivory strips there were originally strips of ebony(most now missing); at one end are two knobs(one missing) to which the fastening cord was attached.
