Description
Limestone stela of Nḫt-mnw: round-topped stela divided into three registers. All figures are in sunk-relief and all texts are incised. In the upper register Osiris is enthroned on the left and behind him stands Isis. In front of Osiris stands an altar on which rests a water-pot cooled by a lotus blossom. On the right are three figures standing in an attitude of adoration: Nakhtmin, who bears an obscure military title; his wife, the chantress of Amun-Re‘ Taanhersewetwet, and Pamerihu , who bears the same title as Nakhtmin but whose relationship to him is not specified. In the remaining registers the four sons and the six daughters of Nakhtmin are shown standing with arms raised in worship. In the middle register are an army scribe, w‘b-priest of the temple of Re‘-Horakhty, a w‘-priest and two further figures. In the lower register appear three figures. The lower right corner is lost. There are no traces of colour.
