Ivory clapper; one end carved in the form of an animal-head; incised detail filled with black on ear, eye and collar; tip of ear, muzzle and back end broken off. Reverse side undecorated, flat.

The identity of the animal depicted is unclear, but it is often considered a rabbit or hare. It is the most frequently occurring head on clappers of First Dynasty date.
