Lip fragment of Attic black-figured pottery volute-krater; interior glazed black; exterior: fight scene; from left: buttock and right leg of naked soldier, left leg raised, entering chariot to left; torso and lower body of cloaked female figureto right, with added red lines and added white dot rosettes on cloak, white on leg; bearded hoplite to left (head missing) with red-edged shield in left hand and raised right arm, white detailing for shield strap, red on chiton; warrior fallen on ground to left (head, shoulder and arms remaining); shield of second warrior to left, with red dots around edge and trace of white device; below, glazed black on lower part of neck.
