Lower body sherd (mended from three fragments) of Attic black-figured pottery closed vessel, perhaps a lekythos or small amphora; interior reserved; exterior: on the preserved right side of a panel, black-figure decoration consisting of lower body, foot and heel of advanced foot of draped figure (Dionysos?) facing left, wearing himation in added red with black border at bottom over black chiton with border in added red; on right, hanging ivy branch with alternating leaves in black and added red; below a panel, a band in faded added red.

Object owned and held by Akademisches Kunstmuseum. This record is included in the British Museum database as part of the Museum’s Naukratis Project, a research collaboration that aims to virtually re-unite finds from the ancient port city of Naukratis, now distributed over 80 museums worldwide.

Date: possibly 3rd quarter of the 6th century BC rather than Piekarski's 520 BC.
Piekarski compares the fragment with Athens Agora P 7223 and P 7227 (Moore, Agora XXIII pl. 11.95) by the Amasis Painter.
