Body sherd of Chian Simple Animal Style pottery chalice; white slip; interior glazed streaky black with traces of two bands in added white; exterior: painted decoration consisting of sphinx (forelegs with blobs in added red and trace of underbelly and wing remaining) to left; below, two narrow bands.
