Description
Fragment of wall of North Ionian black-figured pottery bowl. The paint on the exterior fired to red (2.5 YR 5/6). On the glazed interior, two zones are separated by a red band lined in white; below, an incised palmette and lotus frieze; above, incised lotus and probably bud frieze; added red and white on both florals. On the slipped exterior, wild goats (their hooves remain) and a dot rosette above a stopt leftward maeander band framed by glaze bands with added red bands lined in white.
