Description
Fragment of wall of East Greek pottery shallow bowl or plate. On the slipped interior, pairs of spirals, connected by three short bars; dots or leaves in interstices; to the outside, glaze band. On the clay ground of the exterior red-fired bands, one at top and one at bottom break.

Venit: 'For the spiral ornament compare London, from Naukratis (JHS 44 [1924] pls.7 fig.2 and 8 fig.2).' This is 1965,0930.527, which has concentric circles, not spirals.
