This record is included in the British Museum database as part of the Museum’s Naukratis Project, a research collaboration that aims to virtually re-unite finds from the ancient port city of Naukratis, now distributed over 80 museums worldwide.

Published with Alexandrian parallels (Abd el-Fattah & Seif el-Din 2010). Hellenistic parallels from Delos, dated 150 BC to 90 BC though to be made in Cyprus, the Levant or Egypt (British Museum GR1847,1220.2; GR1825,0713.5; GR1847,1220.1) and from a tomb in Knidos dated to the 2nd or 1st century BC (GR1888,1003.2; see also 1888,1003.1). Late 2nd to early 1st century BC parallels from Delos (Budde & Nicholls 1967, pl. 22, nos. 71-2).
