Thickened rim sherd of Laconian pottery open vessel, perhaps lid; to the inside there are two breaks, as if for lid and flange, with reserved area (inside of vase?) between. Thick white slip; underside, which is lightly concave, glazed black; top black at edge with slipped zone inside decorated with frieze of S's between one and three lines; glazed to inside.
