Fragment of rim and neck of Attic black-figured pottery volute-krater. Inside glazed with broad added red band at top. Leftward key pattern on outside of rim, top worn; on neck, hoplite battle; preserved, hoplite lunging to right with huge spear; red for crest-holder of his Corinthian helmet and rim of the shield and hem of chiton; white for baldric, helmet crest and perhaps shield blazon (worn).
