Description
Body sherd of Attic red-figured pottery bell- or calyx-krater; interior glazed black; exterior: red-figure decoration consisting of upper part of youth, probably Apollo leaning forward (right foot would have been resting on raised ground) to left with his laurel-staff (with added white berries) in his right hand, a garment over his thigh; at far left, part of left arm with white flesh, bent at elbow and embroidered peplos of a female figure, possibly Artemis; relief contour.
