An amulet, in the shape of a stylised eagle. Made of natural cream wool felt. Large rectangular piece of recycled kilim / tapestry cloth applied to centre: geometric patterning worked in cream, pink, brown (2 tones) and orange woollen yarns. Two cowrie shells stitched to each corner and at the mid-way point along each edge. All framed with two rows of linked couched green transparent plastic (?) beads. Six sections of applied woven and embroidered cloth, made from both wool and cotton yarns, framed with either yellow or blue couched linked plastic (?) beads. Gold-coloured plastic round beads sprinkled over entire surface. Round green plastic buttons stitched near edge of amulet, with a cowrie shell after every third button. Plied orange wool cord stitched at edge, with a loop at the top for hanging. Three orange and two cream tassels suspended from bottom edge. Reverse made natural cream felt; stitches visible.
