An amulet, in the shape of a stylised eagle. Made of mid-brown wool felt. Large applied diamond motif in centre, almost completely covered in embroidery, worked in segments, using cream, red and black cotton yarns, in the main. Patterning comprises confronted ram's horns and reverse 'S'-shaped motifs. Red round plastic buttons stitched to all four edges. Two large cowrie shells stitched to each corner and at mid-way point along each edge. Framed with linked couched yellow transparent plastic (?) beads. Six further sections of applied embroidery worked in similar manner. Gold-coloured plastic round beads sprinkled over entire surface. Round red plastic buttons stitched near edge of amulet, with a cowrie shell after every third button. Plied blue/black wool cord stitched at edge, with a loop at the top for hanging. Four orange and three grey/blue tassels suspended from bottom edge. Reverse made from blue, mid- and dark brown felt; stitches visible.
