- Curator's comments
- 'A Quest for Contemporary Felts in Anatolia', text written by the vendor, gives details of felt production and use. See Curator's Comments for entry As2001,07.1. According to the collector the criss cross patterning is called 'cage' and derives from Turkish window grilles. A mixture of vegetable and synthetic dyes were used; for everyday use.
