Commissioned collections As1995,20 and As1996,13 were both made by Stephanie Bunn in Kyrgyzstan in the course of doctoral research into Kyrgyz yurts and tent felts (University of Manchester). A selection of items from these collections were exhibited at the Museum of Mankind in 1997.
This felt was made for sale to tourists by the 'Altyn Oymok" (Golden Thimble) group. The button was also made in the same workshop.
