Woman's dress of dark red woven silk cloth with stripes of yellow, black and white; embroidery around the neck and front opening in yellow, black, red and white silk (?) thread; green silk ribbon appliquéd around cuff, with decorative stitching in white and blue silk (?) thread; upper body lined in printed woven cotton cloth; under-arm panels of blue woven cotton cloth.

- Presented by Dr St John Simpson, a curator in the Department of Western Asiatic Antiquities. The As1995,22 collection was acquired by the donor in the field whilst undertaking archaeological work at the site of Merv, September - October 1995.
