A very fine cotton hand-towel (?) or head-cloth (?). Ground made of natural cream tabby cotton cloth. Identical embroidery near each warp end. Four isolated floral motifs (identical back and front); three pink blossoms on the same curved stem. Worked in pale pink and gold-coloured metal-wrapped thread. Ends and part of sides (for 14 cms) has a line of pink thread and rick rack made from now tarnished metal thread on a cream silk (?) core. Slight discolouration of ground near embroidery. Darning of damaged area at mid-point of one selvedge.
