A woman's cap / bonnet / hat. Circular at back of head, with 7 cms deep band framing face (including beads). Made from cream and red cotton printed tabby cloth (double lines, spotted, on red ground). Strip of black woven wool cloth stitched to front. Decorated with green and silver-coloured faceted synthetic beads, gold-coloured passementrie (interlaced) and silver-coloured sequins. More sequins suspended from edge, save for 7 cms in centre, which is undecorated. Two red tabby cotton cloth flaps stitched to side of face; also embellished with beads, sequins, larger scale passementerie, green synthetic ribbon with more faceted beads suspended from flap edge; (beadwork). Cream plastic circular button secures opening flap and bottom of back. Part of cap lined with cream tabby cloth and cream and lilac chequered cotton thread.
